Jesal has always been fascinated by nature. The magnitude of beauty in encompasses and its ability to tranquilize one’s soul. And one of the greatest muses for her artworks is the Sky. For her, there is nothing more serenating than the sky. Its ability to be calm and composed while exhibiting so many vibrant colours has always inspired her. Especially when they are just about to rain. She says, “ The heavy clouds before rain are just like a person’s heart. They carry so much weight but one always feels calmer once the load is released, similar to the quiet and enchanting sky after rain”.

Painted with acrylic, dry pastels and watercolours, these paintings reveal the personality of Nature. Agitated like the storm in an ocean, generous to the fishermen, flamboyant like the million colours it adorns itself with and sometimes just quite as if embracing the moment. And she has captured all of them through her paintings.
